Which Cover Wednesday

Which Cover Wednesday!

This weekly post is hosted by Sue’s Reading Corner!
Basically, you pick two editions of the same book and talk about which one you prefer!
Be sure to tell me your picks in the comments!

ROUND ONE! Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S. King

  • I own the second version with the actual face. But I love the first one so much more. The ant in his eye really shows what the book is about, and i love the simple black and white scheme so much.

ROUND TWO! Night Film by Marisha Pessl

  • I own the first version. And of the three, it’s definitely my favorite. I don’t like the squares with the eye staring at me, with the random red bird. What is even happening on that cover? I do like the middle version a lot too, though.

ROUND THREE! The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

  • I actually really adore the movie cover for this one. It might be my favorite, honestly. I love all the other ones. But this book and movie hold such a special place in my heart. But I would say that the first cover is my favorite of the other three.

-That’s it! Let me know which one you would pick!
– Leave me some recommendations on which book covers I should check out next!

      1. Maybe I was picking the wrong ones but I found too many of his stories to be formulaic. Couple finds love, bad stuff happens, they split, they come back together, one of them dies. I wanted to burn Dear John when I was done but I’m inherently hot tempered.

  1. I haven’t read any of these, though I own a copy of the Nicholas Sparks book with that first cover. My preference in covers can change when a new one comes out, though I usually am a fan of the original. And as a rule of thumb, I NEVER like the movie covers… never.

  2. I like the first book cover for the first book, I love the contrasting black and white! For the second book I actually like the middle one best, I think i’m more drawed to that cover.

  3. As for the first two books, I totally agree with you. In particular, ‘Night Film,’ the middle one is my favorite. And then The Last Song.. I love the last one with two pinkish shells the best 🙂

    1. I feel like I like all of the covers of The Last Song, but if I had to pick, it would definitely by the first edition. 🙂
I love how the first two covers of Night Film make it look like a mysterious book. 🙂
