A Book That Makes You Sleepy or Just Could Not Hold Your Attention

the duff.jpgThe DUFF by Kody Keplinger – I DNF’d this at 50 pages. It broke my rule of at least getting to page 100 before not finishing a book. I just hated it. But the movie was so good in comparison.

Under the Sea
A Book With a Water/Ocean Setting

we were liarsWe Were Liars by E. Lockhart. The whole book takes place on the family island. It was a creepy book, and I liked it a lot. I’ve heard a lot of negative reviews for this book. But I would recommend it as I read it in only one sitting.

lux.jpgKaty from the Lux Series by Jennifer L Armentrout. At least at the beginning of this series there’s a huge emphasis on the fact that Katy has a book blog. This fact kind of doesn’t matter in the latter books. But I liked it a lot in the first books.

The_Miserable_Mill_USA.PNGThis was difficult for me to think of a book. So I’m going with The Series of Unfortunate Events. I love this whole series. And even though it’s a middle grade, there’s definitely no need for a love story.

  1. I know which book tag I’m doing next week!!
The Other Boleyn Girl is so good. I had a phase in middle school where all I read was Philippa Gregory books, so it’s been a while, but I love her books! That was basically how I was introduced to historical fiction. I’ve read more of them than sci-fi and dystopian books, now that I think about it lol

  2. I super agree about long books – there are so many more books out there that I just want to move on and keep going – not being bogged down by the long ones. And I’ve seen a lot of differing views about We Were Liars, but it’s good to know that you thought it was a good novel. Creepy and family island sound totally up my alley, so I’ll definitely have to check it out. And I’m planning on reading The Other Boleyn Girl sometime soon, and I’m totally with you about getting excited to read it. Thanks so much for doing the tag, Jessica, and it was so much fun to read your answers!! Wonderful post!
