Harry Potter Moment of the Week – Fifth Movie Changes

-Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a feature started by Leah over at Uncorked Thoughts.
–This meme is now hosted by Lunar Rainbows (link).
-The idea is to get Harry Potter fans together and discuss the series!
-Each Thursday there’s a new Harry Potter related question. Join in!

-Today’s Question – If you could change one thing from the fifth film, what would it be?

— I think this is the longest book, but the shortest movie. If I remember correctly. So a lot of things definitely didn’t make it into the movie.
— The main thing being the other House-Elves and SPEW. And the fact that the Hufflepuff Common Room is near the kitchen where the House-Elves live.
— Also we NEVER see the Hufflepuff Common Room, which I would have loved too!

— Honestly, I wish there were more Quidditch scenes in the movies in general. It was such a big part in the books. I feel like the movies toward the end didn’t capture that at all.
— So that’s my answer. More Quidditch scenes!

  1. Agree on all points. More Quidditch, covering SPEW, and seeing the Hufflepuff common room. I’m all for that. I think there was just so much subplot in this book that it was impossible to cover it all. SPEW definitely should have been in the movie because it was such a huge movement in the book.
